Two men have been arrested on suspicion of being accessories to a double homicide in the Iron Triangle on Sept. 20, police said.

Aaron Lee Allison, 44, who police say is a Deep C gang member nicknamed ‘A1 Steak Sauce,’ turned himself in Sunday after a warrant was issued for his arrest, Richmond police spokesperson Sgt. Nicole Abetkov said. Robert Williams, 28, turned himself into police late last week, Abetkov said.

Dayton Dailey, 23, and Clarence Wallace, 20, were fatally shot near Bissell Avenue and Fourth Street about 5:30 p.m. The killings occurred just two days after 44 shots were fired into an apartment building on the same bock, an incident police believed was gang related.

The incident led to increased patrols of Richmond’s known gang spots.

At this point, Abetkov said, police don’t believe Allison or Williams pulled the trigger, but believe they participated in the crime at some level.

“We’re still trying to determine what their role was,” Abetkov said.
