The Richmond Police Activities League (RPAL) is seeking more volunteers to mentor youths between ages 11 and 15.

Those interested in taking part in a fulfilling, impactful mentoring experience can attend a Back-to-School Mentor Blitz event this Saturday at RPAL at 2200 Macdonald Ave.

“The intent of the event is to work in partnership with other youth serving agencies to cause ‘The Best Year Ever’ for students in West Contra Costa County through mentoring services,” RPAL organizers said.

The event will be a family affair and will include activities for kids, refreshments and a performance from RPAL supported band 2Morrow June.
