Andre Thierry and Zydeco Magic is set Wednesday to headline the second Music on the Main free concert in downtown Richmond.

The concert, held by the Richmond Main Street Initiative (RMSI), will run from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the lot next to the new BART parking garage on the corner of Marina Way and Macdonald Avenue.

The Richmond Jazz Collective is scheduled to open for Thierry’s group.

Along with music, the event will feature food vendors, shopping and information booths, family bike rodeo and parking, kids activities, drawing prizes and wine and beer.

Last month, the first of two Music on the Main concerts reportedly went off without a hitch and featured performances from R&B diva Rhonda Benin, MZSwitchedUp, and 2Morrows June.

Music on the Main is sponsored by the City of Richmond, Chevron, Mechanics Bank, SimsMetal, and Nutiva. Additional support for Music on the Main comes from the Downtown Richmond Property Based Business Improvement District.
