Senior running back Ernie Timoteo ran for 127 yards on 27 carries to help Kennedy High defeat visiting Sir Francis Drake (San Anselmo) 17-7 in the Eagles’ first game of the season Friday, the team reported.

During the second quarter, Jordan Mims ran in a 2-yard touchdown, and just seconds later Jordan Winfield recovered a kickoff fumble for a 16-yard TD. The Eagles also scored on a safety following a bad snap by Drake that forced its quarterback to kick the ball out of the end zone.
