El Cerrito police say they don’t know where a 57-year-old Richmond woman crashed her vehicle last weekend, as she was too intoxicated to remember.

About 3:35 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to the area of Kearney Street and Waldo Avenue in El Cerrito on a report of a disabled vehicle in the roadway with collision damage. They met with the driver of the vehicle and soon after arrested her on suspicion of driving while under the influence and hit-and-run, police said.

The woman was able to remember that she had been involved in an accident, but “could not recall where the collision had occurred due to her intoxication,” police said.

“An officer contacted local agencies in an attempt to determine where the collision might have occurred, however there were no reported collisions,” police said in a statement.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact El Cerrito Police Department at (510) 237-3233.
