Richmond’s Assemble was named as one of the Bay Area’s best al fresco dining spots by the Bay Area News Group (BANG) Tuesday.
Hardly a surprise. Aside from serving amazing dishes, Assemble is located in Richmond’s old Ford Motor assembly plant at 1414 S. Harbour Way, which boasts “the most jaw dropping views around, from San Francisco’s iconic skyline to UC Berkeley’s Campanile,” according to BANG.
The newspaper added, “The al fresco terrace includes not just patio tables, but comfy lounge chairs from which to ponder the Bay with a craft brew or Aviation cocktail ($10) in hand. Stretch your legs afterward with a stroll along the waterfront.”
Assemble opened last year and features Maggie Pond and Richard Mazzera, who used to work for Alice Waters’ Chez Panisse.
