The Richmond Museum of History is asking longtime local residents to help identify members of the Richmond Fire Department who appeared in a 1975 photograph.
The photo is part of a temporary exhibit slated to open Saturday in the museum’s Seaver Gallery at 400 Nevin Ave. Entitled “Fire in the City,” the exhibit features artifacts from the museum’s permanent collections and also those loaned from local fire houses and personal collections. The exhibit will remain open until Oct. 4.
A free opening reception Saturday will run from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Those who might know some of the pictured firefighters ought to call the museum or head down to the exhibit, which “celebrates the history and heroism of the Richmond Fire Department,” museum official say.
