On Wednesday, the Richmond Police Department released the names of the couple whose argument early Tuesday led to a fatal stabbing in their Point Richmond home.

Patrick McHenry, 36, was pronounced dead at his home in the 500 block of Tewksbury Avenue about 4:30 a.m., police said. His live-in girlfriend, 37-year-old Elaine Ashes, called 911 after allegedly stabbing McHenry following a dispute fueled by alcohol, police Sgt. Nicole Abektov said.

Ashes has been booked on suspicion of homicide, Abetkov added.
