Richmond’s Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on Wednesday to consider certification of the city’s Environmental Impact Report (EIR) and a request for a Conditional Use Permit and Design Review Permit for the Chevron Refinery Modernization Project.

The meeting is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Kennedy High School cafeteria at 4300 Cutting Blvd. in Richmond.

A decision might not come down as soon as Wednesday. If additional time is needed to consider the project, the Planning Commission has reserved Thursday evening to continue discussions at Kennedy High.

Should the project pass the Planning Commission, it would then face approval at City Council.
