The Independence Day festivities at Craneway Pavilion Thursday night were simply stunning, and we have the pictures to prove it.

Ultra-talented photographer Neville Guard captured gorgeous images that sum up an evening ignited by soaring fireworks, incredible live music and hundreds of members of Richmond’s tightly-knit community.

The headlining musical act was the incredible Oakland East Bay Symphony concert conducted by Music Director Michael Morgan.  Afterward, the City of Richmond put on an impressive fireworks show over Bay waters.

The event was sponsored by Target and the City of Richmond, with other local sponsors including Chevron Richmond, Mechanics Bank and KDFC.
