Tonight, the Richmond City Council is scheduled to hear preliminary proposals from city staff on how to close the city’s $7.6 million budget deficit for fiscal year 2014-15.

Residents are encouraged to attend the hearing at 440 Civic Center Plaza or stream the meeting live here.

According to City Manager Bill Lindsay, “The magnitude of the projected budget shortfall will undoubtedly affect service levels.”
