Richmond native Kim Moses is the new principal of Stege Elementary School, the nonprofit For Richmond reported Tuesday.

Moses, who spent the last four years as principal at Wilson Elementary School, reportedly grew up in Richmond and attended King Elementary School, Adams Middle School and Kennedy High School. She received a Chevron scholarship before moving on to graduate from UC Berkeley.

Her official start date at Stege is June 28, but she’s already been preparing for the role.
