Richmond’s new American diner, Marina Bay Grill, finally opened its doors for business on Wednesday.

A grand opening for the restaurant at at 2167 Meeker Ave. is scheduled for Friday, according to an employee, but the diner began serving meals to customers Wednesday.

The eatery is a new venture by the family who owns the nearby Cafe Pascal. Both eateries share space in a shopping center with a CVS store.

The family opened the eatery because Marina Bay was “in desperate need of a diner.” Earlier this month, we posted a story with the menus for our readers.
