A Richmond family hopes the community can help locate their beloved Doberman Pinscher, which went missing Sunday night and requires daily medication for kidney problems.

The pooch named Mary Jane is “a sweet family dog” who will respond to both Mary Jane or “MJ,” according to the family.

The dog was last seen on Harbour Way and Macdonald Avenue in Richmond. A Richmond police officer reported seeing Mary Jane get picked up by a kind Samaritan who said he intended to call animal control. However, the family hasn’t been able to locate their dog.

Mary Jane is about 2 years old with large black hair. She is spayed and has a Microchip ID but no collar.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the dog are asked to call (510) 260-9802. An undisclosed reward is being offered for information leading to Mary Jane.
