Salesian softball team wins NCS Division IV title; finishes 18-1 on season

Congrats are in order for the Salesian Pride varsity softball team, which repeated as North Coast Section Division IV champions on Saturday with a 2-0 win over St. Patrick-St. Vincent.

The Pride ended the season with a 18-1 record, with their only loss coming early this season against St. Patrick-St. Vincent (24-5).

The Pride were as dominate in the NCS tourney as they have been all season, opening with a 5-1 second round win over Berean Christian, and then moving on to defeat Moreau Catholic 5-0.

The Pride’s Zoe Conley pitched a four-hit shutout and hurled nine strikeouts in NCS championship, while catcher Madison Pozzi went 3 for 3 behind the plate, according to the West County Times report.
