Richmond Fire Department responds to overdoses, false alarms at Craneway Pavilion rave

The free two-night Harbour Lights Music Festival at the Craneway Pavilion is set to begin Friday with headliners Lydia Pense & Cold Blood.

The Richmond Fire Department responded to four overdose calls and two false alarm calls on the first night of a three-day rave at Craneway Pavilion Friday night, according to the West County Times.

The electronic dance event, called Audio on the Bay, continues through Sunday and on Friday included about 5,000 attendees, the newspaper reported.

The false alarms included a fire alarm being pulled and also when smoke from the performances set off an alarm, a fire department officials said.

UPDATE: A Richmond police official told us Sunday that a thousand or so fewer people attended Saturday night’s event, and that there did not appear to be many calls for emergency services. The official said the rave has not had a significant impact on Richmond police and fire personnel.

Below is a YouTube video that reportedly was taken from the event and posted Sunday.
