The West County Times reported Friday afternoon that the final defendant has been sentenced in connection with the horrific Richmond High School rape case that drew national outrage.

John Crane Jr., 47, of Richmond, received a 3-year sentence, the lightest punishment of all six defendants in the case, the Times reported. He won’t do any more jail time, as he received credit for time already served. But Crane will be a sex registrant for life for the role he played in the vicious, two-hour long sexual assault of a 16-year-old girl in October of 2009.
