A new Jack in the Box restaurant is being proposed for downtown Richmond.

The 2,662 square-foot fast food eatery would be constructed at the Richmond Shopping Center at 1100 Macdonald Ave., near the Walgreens store.

City staff is recommending a conditional approval of the restaurant.

Residents will have a chance to weigh in on the plan at a public hearing May 14 at 440 Civic Center Plaza, 5 p.m.
