A San Rafael woman accused of crashing into two parked cars before fleeing the scene in Richmond on Saturday afternoon was arrested shortly after on suspicion of driving under the influence of prescription pills, police said.

The 48-year-old woman had accidentally placed her car in reverse instead of park while attempting to park in the 4500 block of Fieldcrest Drive, several blocks north of DeAnza High School, police spokesperson Sgt. Nicole Abetkov said.

The woman struck two vehicles and attempted to flee, Abetkov said, but a witness followed her. In addition to allegedly driving under the influence of drugs, she also had a suspended license due to a prior DUI conviction, Abetkov said.

No one was injured as a result of the crash, Abetkov added.
