A new app called BART Watch allows riders to easily and discreetly report crimes or suspicious items on the transit system.

Seven Sundays of BART delays between Richmond and Berkeley

BART service between the Richmond and Berkeley stations experienced track maintenance delays on Sunday, and will endure similar delays for another six Sundays as the work is completed, the transit agency said.

Service north of Berkeley, including at Richmond station, will operate every 40 minutes instead of the usual 20 minutes between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. nearly every Sunday of April and May. The only exception is May 18, when the transit agency will run regular service for the Bay to Breakers race in San Francisco.

The work is forcing BART to use one track between the Berkeley and Richmond stations. Riders whose trip terminates in Berkeley will have to wait for the next train for 20 minutes.

“This work will replace aging equipment and cannot be accomplished during the short time at night when we do not run service,” BART said in a statement.
