The Bay Area’s worst comedians may flee the region when they learn what’s taking place in Richmond on Saturday.
The Great Tomato Plant Sale will be held at the AdamsCrest Urban Farm in East Richmond Heights from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. More than 40 varieties of heirloom tomato plants are for sale, along with other vegetables, for just $3 a plant (cash or check only).
The 40,000-square-foot garden is a collaboration between Urban Tilth and Crestmont School, in which students learn farm-to-table sustainability and how to grow, cultivate, and eat healthy foods.
AdamsCrest Farm is located next to Crestmont at 5000 Patterson Circle, just off Arlington Boulevard.
The sale is sponsored by Urban Tilth and Contra Costa Master Gardeners, who will be on hand to answer your questions. For more info: ccmg.ucanr.edu.
