Video highlights of the Salesian girls basketball team’s playoff win last week might be a good way to get pumped up for the Pride’s highly anticipated game tonight against St. Mary’s of Berkeley.

With help from 35 points from star guard Mariya Moore, Salesian defeated St. Ignatius 64-55 on Friday in the first round of the CIF Open Division Northern regional playoffs. Check out highlights for the game below courtesy of Cal-Hi Sports. Watch until the end so you don’t miss the interview with Salesian’s star center Zoe Correal, who added 12 points, 14 rebounds and 5 blocks for Salesian.

“We just really wanted to win, we wanted to get it all, take it this year,” Correal said in the filmed interview. “Because we have eight seniors, you know, we wanted to play hard, so we just kind of pushed forward in the second half.”

Tonight, the Pride (28-6) will look to defeat league rival St. Mary’s. The tip off is scheduled for 7 p.m. at St. Mary’s. The Panthers are the North’s No. 1 seed and defeated eighth-seeded Sacramento 48-32 in the first round on Friday.

The Salesian girls basketball team is headed to the second round Tuesday night of the CIF Open Division playoffs.
