Location of shooting in Richmond Monday morning that injured a 20-year-old man

A 20-year-old man was grazed by a bullet in a Richmond shooting Monday morning, police said.

About 8:20 a.m., the Richmond resident was driving in the area of S. 33rd Street and Florida Avenue when he was fired upon by at least one occupant of a dark, four-door sedan, police spokeswoman Sgt. Nicole Abetkov said.

A bullet grazed the man’s shoulder. He drove himself to the hospital and is expected to survive, Abetkov said.

About the same time as the incident, a house two blocks away in the 100 block of S. 35th Street was hit by a bullet, injuring no one, Abetkov said. Both shootings appear to be related, she said.
