A new music video from Richmond artists proves why so many cars driving down the city’s streets are bumping locally-produced tracks.

Rappers J.Cash and YPOnTheBeat exhibit Richmond’s wealth of musical talent in their new video for the song, “Day and Night.”

The video was filmed at a professional studio in central Richmond as well as on the streets, according to the filmmaker Jay Primetime.

The filming took place along Macdonald Street, Cutting Boulevard and Maine Street, among other strips.

J.Cash and YP wrote their own lyrics, the filmmaker said, and YP produced the beat.

“I met the rappers through networking my videos on YouTube, and they basically contacted me,” Jay Primetime said.

Watch the video below. Be warned: the song’s lyrics and themes are not suitable for children.
