A 9-week-old puppy that was reportedly stolen from The Milo Foundation in Point Richmond last month has been returned.
The Poodle/Retriever mix named Jaime was swiped on Feb. 27 during an adoption event at the center on S. Garrard Boulevard. On Tuesday, The Milo Foundation announced on Facebook that a woman who purchased Jaime returned the dog:
It wasn’t immediately clear whether a suspect has been identified in the stolen puppy case. While the woman who returned the dog expressed interest in adopting, the Milo Foundation later stated that can’t happen.
“She doesn’t have permission to have a dog at her apartment – and was sneaking Jamie in and out,” the foundation said on Facebook. “But Jaime is in fine shape, and sweet as can be!”
