The Salesian girls basketball team rolled past Middletown 61-17 Wednesday night to advance to the second round of the North Coast Section Division IV playoffs.

The top-seeded Pride (25-5) opened with a 26-0 lead after the first quarter and allowed 16th-seeded Middletown (19-8) just four points in the second half.

Senior Zoe Correal led Salesian with 13 points, 3 rebounds and 2 blocks. Sophomore Minyon Moore added 12 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Senior Deja Stallworth chipped in 7 points, sophomore JulieAnne Martin had 6 points and Mariya Moore and Kian McNair each had 5.

The Salesian girls basketball team will next host eighth-seeded Lick-Wilmerding (San Francisco), which handled ninth-seeded Fortuna 68-39 in the first round. The game is at Salesian on Saturday at 8 p.m.
