A critical report about the Richmond Housing Authority and its executive director Tim Jones is not surprisingly catching the attention of Richmond City Council.

The extensive investigation by The Center for Investigative Reporting, in partnership with the San Francisco Chronicle and KQED, states the authority “spent lavishly” while the basic needs of residents weren’t being met.

Check out a video report below. In his e-forum Monday, Councilman Tom Butt indicated the scathing report would be a topic of discussion at Tuesday night’s Council meeting.

“The City Council will request a report on this as an emergency item [Tuesday] night,” Butt said.
