The traffic stop occurred on Richmond Parkway near Hensley.

A traffic stop in Richmond early Tuesday led to the seizure of “a veritable potpourri of illegal drugs,” police Chief Chris Magnus said.

Officers pulled over a car for a traffic violation on Richmond Parkway near Hensley Avenue about 1:30 a.m., according to Richmond police spokeswoman Nicole Abetkov.

The driver, 37-year-old Antawuin Powers of Richmond, had a suspended license, Abetkov said, leading to a search of the vehicle.

The search “revealed possession of cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, marijuana, and prescription pills,” the police spokeswoman said.

Police are not revealing the exact amount of narcotics. Powers was subsequently booked for possession of illegal narcotics.
