The photographs have arrived.

The Salesian High School website has some nice shots from its Athletics Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Jan. 25.

This year’s hall of famers are Jahvid Best (2007/football, track), Jocelyn Leche (2002, soccer), and Madison Burfict (1992, football).

Best amassed 6479 yards and 91 touchdowns, both North Coast Section records, and was the nation’s only high school track sprinter to finish below 10.40 more than twice in the 100-meter race.  He went on to star in football at the University of California-Berkeley, and was a first round draft pick with the Detroit Lions in 2010, where he played well in 22 games until he was sidelined indefinitely due to concussions.

Burfict was also a standout football player and earned an athletic scholarship to play at UC Berkeley.

Leche was a star at both soccer and softball, and earned an athletic scholarship for soccer at the University of Southern California.
