Garbage rates might soon increase in Richmond by 1.56-percent.

The proposed increase for the pickup of solid waste is scheduled to be introduced at Tuesday’s City Council meeting.

The rate hike would “reflect the change in the Consumer Price Index in accordance with the franchise agreement between the City of Richmond and Richmond Sanitary Service.”
