Three Richmond poets who were tapped to work with the Center for Investigative Reporting on illustrating failures of Richmond housing projects came up with the compelling video below.

Writers DeAndre Evans, William Hartfield-Peoples and Donte Clark reportedly helped CIR reporter Amy Harris investigate and report on conditions at the Hacienda Development (1300 Roosevelt Ave.) and Nevin Plaza Development (2400 Nevin Ave.).

Their film below, which is a result of their investigation, is called “This is Home.”

Also, don’t miss the CIR report about Richmond’s housing projects in the video below, along with the article that goes with it.

The collaboration between the poets and CIR was part of Off/Page, a project from the literary nonprofit Youth Speaks that has young wordsmiths partake in investigative journalism as a way to fuel their art and educate the public.
