A suspected burglar was zapped with a Taser after he allegedly attacked a police officer with a screwdriver last week, according to the Richmond Police Department.

The 28-year-old suspect, whose name was not immediately available, was suspected in connection with two break-ins at Bridge Storage at 23 Maine St., just north of Interstate Highway 580.

The suspect “came at the officer with a screwdriver,” police said, “but Taser deployment took care of that.”

Something’s missing here

A cop who pulled over a car with malfunctioning brake lights and expired registration on San Pablo Avenue encountered more than just a law-breaking driver.

Among the car’s occupants, police said, were two missing teenagers.

The teens were returned to their families, while the driver of the vehicle was issued citations.
